Customers and marketing
Bring collectors back through eBay's own channels: a Store newsletter every two weeks, a few margin-safe coupons, and more store followers. This page picks the listings, writes and checks the wording, works out which coupons are safe, and watches account health. You create each campaign in Seller Hub; nothing here emails buyers or creates a coupon. Offers to watchers stay on Offers and promotions.
Checking account status…
Baseline
Where things stand before any campaign, each figure marked by where it comes from: eBay API (read today), from Seller Hub (entered by you with its date), derived (worked out from the ledger) or unavailable. Unavailable is not zero.
| Figure | Value | Earlier | Source | As of | Note |
|---|
Where Seller Hub shows them: Marketing > Buyer groups gives total buyers, repeat buyers and followers for the last 12 months on one screen. Newsletter subscribers appear as "Approx. buyer reach" when you open Store > Store newsletter > Create campaign, pick any template and click the All subscribers chip; cancel the builder afterwards, nothing is saved. The storefront header also shows followers.

Calendar
Newsletter and coupon slots, offers to watchers, and what you recorded, in one place. eBay limits each buyer to one newsletter and one buyer-group coupon from you per 14 days, separately.
Who eBay can reach
eBay's own audience lists for Store email campaigns, with the sizes it reports, and the campaigns already in your account. eBay decides who is eligible; no buyer names or addresses are kept here.

How coupons are checked
Start with the pilot only: one private $3-off-$40 coupon for one buyer group, a $50 budget in eBay, 30 days, no silver bullion and nothing priced $500 or more. The other four wait until the pilot has a result. eBay's budget is not treated as a guaranteed hard stop, so "most it could cost" is worked out separately, and codes already handed out can still be used after a coupon is paused. A listing counts as safe for a coupon when, sold on its own (at 90% of its price if Best Offer is on, since an accepted offer and a coupon can both apply), it still keeps your $4 minimum after the largest discount and stays at or above its silver melt floor. "Most it could cost" is the redemption limit times the largest discount: set that limit and the expiry in Seller Hub when you create it. A buyer group gets at most one coupon every 14 days. Never tie a coupon to feedback.
| Coupon | Audience | Terms | Safe listings | Most it could cost | Expires after |
|---|
- In Seller Hub open Marketing > Coupons > Create coupon. Choose a private code for buyer groups and inserts.
- Use the terms above, limit it to the safe listings (or exclude the others), set the redemption limit and expiry, and send it to the matching buyer group.
- Record it below with its buyer group. A coded coupon also appears here by itself from eBay's promotions list, but eBay does not say which buyer group got it, so the 14-day buyer-group rule only knows about it once you record it.

Social posts for eBay's Share to Social
Post from Seller Hub > Marketing > Share to Social (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok) so the traffic is reported there. These are drafts from your newest listings.
Packing insert
A thank-you card for each package. It invites the buyer to follow your eBay Store and can carry a private coupon code; it never asks for feedback and has no outside web address.
Results
Orders and sales in the 14 days after each newsletter or coupon against the 14 days before. Other things change too (the season, silver, new listings), so read it as a guide; eBay's own campaign report is below when it has one.

Account protection
Marketing is only worth it while the account stays healthy. The page checks what it can; tick the rest when done (they are reminders, kept with the date you ticked them).
