Improve listings
Three steps, about every two weeks: 1 choose listings and build a fix file, 2 upload it in Seller Hub, 3 see whether it helped. Nothing is sent to eBay from this page. History of revision-tool changes: Listing corrections.

1 Choose listings
How listings are chosen
Every active listing gets a priority from what the numbers and the catalog audit say about it: a price below the melt floor counts most, then being rarely seen, seen but rarely clicked, and title or item-specific problems. Results of earlier batches move these weights: a kind of fix that has helped ranks higher, one that has not ranks lower. Seen per day is impressions over the last 30 days of eBay's traffic report; click-through is views over impressions; from search is the share of impressions in search results. The audit re-reads 25 listings every third hour, so every listing is read again about every day and a half.
The suggested batch takes one kind of fix at a time (titles, item specifics and template text, or price and offers), alternating with the last change set, so its result says which change helped. With 10 or more ready listings, it pairs them by priority and holds one of each pair back unchanged: those are the fairest comparison, and they get the same fix after the result. Listings changed in the last 18 days, waiting in a file, or held back are left out until their result is in.

Proposals to check
The audit found a problem but is not sure of the fix. Accept a proposal as it is, edit it first, or skip it (it stays hidden until the audit proposes something different). Accepted listings are ticked for the next file.
Fix in Seller Hub
Problems the fix file cannot change: photos, category, condition, handling time, shipping and price. Each is checked from eBay's own data: photos, condition and shipping from the audit's read, the category against eBay's suggestion for the title, and the price against other sellers' current Buy It Now listings found with the title's main words (eBay does not show this app sold prices, so treat it as a guide and check the search). Change these in Seller Hub; the page sees the change at the next check. After changing prices, download the price and offer settings file on Pricing and silver so Best Offer limits follow.

Edit route: "Seller Hub file" listings were created through eBay's Inventory API and can only be changed by upload; "revision tool or file" listings can also go through Listing corrections.

Build the file
Title and item specifics use the audit's proposals marked "Ready", plus any you accepted above. Template replaces the old brand text in the live description, read fresh from eBay (up to 20 listings per file). Price and offers applies the melt floor and your Best Offer rule.
Visibility fixes and price fixes in one file cannot be told apart in the result. Building them as two files about two weeks apart gives a clear answer for each.

2 Upload in Seller Hub
Upload the downloaded file at Seller Hub > Listings > Active > Upload. You do not need to come back: every five minutes the page reads 25 of your listings from eBay (all of them about once an hour), and when a new title or price from the file appears, the file counts as uploaded at that moment. Listings still showing the old value after the next read are marked refused. A file that only changes item specifics or the template text has nothing to see, so press "I uploaded this file" after uploading it.
Record an upload made some other way, or eBay's results file
Choose the CSV you uploaded at Seller Hub > Listings > Active > Upload with the time you uploaded it (Mountain time). The page reads which listings and which columns changed (Title, item specifics, Description, StartPrice, StoreCategory, Best Offer) and records them; recording the same file twice is harmless. eBay's results file (Seller Hub > Reports > Uploads > Download results) marks the listings eBay refused; it needs no time.

How results are judged
Each recorded change set is judged as a batch. Visibility changes (titles, item specifics, descriptions, Store categories) are judged on how often the listings appear per day, in all of eBay and in search results. Price and offer changes are judged on sell-through: the share of the batch that sold within 14 days, because every listing has one item. Each batch is compared with the listings held back from it when there are at least 5, otherwise with similar listings that did not change over the same days (same coin type, or everything else), so the Store, silver moves and the season are not credited to the change. A listing changed by another batch within 14 days is an overlap; when enough listings have no overlap, only those count. A batch is complete 18 days after the change (14 days plus eBay's 3–4 day reporting lag) once the traffic report covers those days.
